DUTV Nets Dragons

Drexel Dragons Basketball

We are pleased to report that the Drexel Men’s and Women’s home basketball games will be televised on DUTV except those games televised nationally on ESPN or regionally on Comcast. DUTV will kickoff its basketball season with the Men’s game against Princeton on Saturday, December 10th with tipoff at 4 PM.

The Men’s team is poised to build on last year’s 21-10 record, returning six of its top seven performers from a season ago.  Led by Senior Samme Givens, a First Team All-CAA Preseason selection, and junior Chris Fouch, a Second Team All-CAA pick, the Dragons are projected to finish first in the CAA according to a vote of the league's coaches, media relations directors and media members. Givens was the only player in the CAA to average a double-double a year ago and Fouch led the Dragons in scoring with 14.0 points per contest.

Preseason First Team All-CAA selection senior, Kamile Nacickaite, will lead the Women’s squad.  Nacickaite, a Second Team selection at the end of her junior season, led the Dragons in scoring and rebounding last season. The Women’s team is coming off a 19-13 season where they advanced to the postseason for a program record third-consecutive season, earning an invitation to the WNIT.  The first DUTV televised Women’s game is Monday, December 19th against rival LaSalle. Tipoff is at 7 p.m.

Viewers in metropolitan Philadelphia can find DUTV, carried on Verizon Fios and Comcast channels 37 and 54 respectively or on Drexel campus television station 33. DUTV’s coverage of basketball is made possible through the generous support of the Kal and Lucille Rudman Institute for Entertainment Industry Studies.
