The Graphic Design Program has won an amazing 29 awards in the Creativity Awards 40 Annual in the Print & Packaging medium. Our biggest win to date at the Creativity Awards Annual includes an outstanding 9 Gold Awards, 9 Silver Awards and 11 Honorable Mentions.

Creativity Awards Annual 40 received over 1,000 entries in Creativity 40 Print & Packaging. They came from 31 countries, 27 U.S. states and four Canadian Provinces. All winning print work will appear in the over 400-page, full-color hardcover,Creativity 40 Awards Annual Book, to be published by HarperCollins in the summer of 2011. Primarily a professional competition, there are 22 pages dedicated to student work. The graphic design program will be represented with a fantastic range of winning projects: packaging, book jackets, branding, annual reports, and environmental and exhibition graphics at all levels from sophomore to senior year. Also included in the book will be our previously announced five motion graphic wins (Platinum, Gold, Silver, and two Honorable Mentions) from the Creativity Awards 40 in Media. As the Platinum Award winner, Kanya Zillmer will be honored with a full page in the annual, showcasing her images along with a creative brief. These winners are truly designers to watch now and in the future.

This brings the total wins in Graphic Design in this academic year to 39 and they're closing in fast on last year's total of 57. Congratulations to all of our students and faculty who received this tremendous recognition.
