Actor Giancarlo Esposito Visits Westphal College for a Screening of Night on Earth; Teach Master Classes to Film & Video Students

Celebrated character actor Giancarlo Esposito will visit the Westphal College on February 28 for a screening of Jim Jarmusch?s classic comedy Night on Earth. The film is comprised of five ?slice of life? vignettes that take place in five taxis, in five different cities at the same time: New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Rome and Helsinki. Each explores the temporary bond between taxi driver and passenger. Esposito plays YoYo in the film.
A Q&A session with Mr. Esposito will follow the screening. Esposito has had a long and prolific career, starring in over a 100 feature and television films including Spike Lee?s Do The Right Thing. Esposito will also conduct two days of master classes with Film & Video students from the Media Arts Department. Esposito?s visit is presented by the Sibby Merkel Brasler Lecture Series and organized by film and video Professor Zhenya Kiperman, who directed Mr. Esposito in the award-winning film, I Will Avenge You, Iago!.
