The legendary James Galanos, a native Philadelphian, will critique Westphal College fashion design students' creations The student designs are inspired by the designer's work.
And on November 16, 2006 at 6:30 p.m. James Galanos will be inducted into the Philadelphia Fashion Council's Hall of Fame by The Philadelphia Fashion Council at the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design at a gala to be held at the Union League.
Also visit Galanos: The Great Philadelphian, Fashion at its Best, an exhibition of Galanos' work, is on display in the Rincliffe Gallery of The Drexel Collection on the third floor of the Main Building through January 12, 2007. The exhibition features gowns by Galanos from the Drexel Historic Costume Collection, housed in Westphal College. The exhibition is free and open to the public. Shown above from the exhibition is an evening gown by Galanos.
