Drexel Fashion Design Students Take Top 5 Paris Spots
December 1, 2005
Fashion Design students traveled to San Francisco to participate in the "Arts of Fashion 2005", which is a juried fashion showcase which brings together an international collection of fashion, art and ideas. Seventy fashion students selected from 43 different U.S. fashion schools and universities entered their creations to be shown and judged in a fashion show and display. Ten U.S. students were chosen to be invited to present in Paris at the prestigious event, 'Concours International des Jeunes Createurs de Mode'.
Of the ten U.S students chose, FIVE are Drexel Design students! Ann Burton, Megan Stein, Jung Soo Lee, Mia Murphy and Lisa Hutchinson will all travel to Paris in December. They were chosen to present by a distinguished judging panel that included the Creative assistant for Jean-Paul Gaultier, Paris, a Haute-Couture Designer for Dior, and the former director and curator at the Museum of Fashion in Paris, among other notable and accomplished individuals.
Congratulations to the Department of Design on a job well done, and good luck in Paris!
