EGS Colloquium: Ryan J. McMahon

Wednesday, October 14, 2026

6:00 PM-7:30 PM

Please join us for a lecture from Drexel alum and indie video game developer, Ryan J. McMahon!

Abstract: In the past four months, AI has finally gotten to a stage where it has drastically changed how I develop videogames. I don't consider myself an AI hype guy (the ethical and environmental issues are overwhelming), but I feel it's important to show students how it's changing the field they're getting into. This talk focuses on what I learned, the processes I use everyday, and is geared towards teaching beginners how to use AI more systematically.

Speaker Bio: Ryan J. McMahon is a Drexel alumni and indie video game developer. Ryan and his team have released Party Game, Fling to the Finish, which resulted in people being tied together by an elastic band all across the globe. He now mostly develops games solo, constantly fighting off the industry in order to stay financially independent
