"The Ethical Edit" Sustainability Panel
Thursday, September 24, 2026
4:30 PM-6:00 PM
Please join us for "The Ethical Edit: A Panel on Sustainable Design for Longevity & Renewal" on Thursday, September 24, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM in the URBN Annex Screening Room on Drexel's campus.
This panel focuses on the critical shift toward natural fibers, textiles, and domestic sourcing, shedding light on how moving away from synthetic materials can bring positive change for our planet and our health. Panelists will shift the narrative from vague sustainability promises to accessible supply chain transparency. Look into the full lifecycle of a garment—from raw seed to final repair/renewal—with a focus on natural fibers, “slow fashion”, and domestic manufacturing.
We are thrilled to welcome an incredible lineup of industry leaders:
- Buxton Midyette – Supima
- Sally Congdon-Martin – Buck Mason
- Carolyn Smith – Tuscarora Mills
- Allie Hauptman – "loveyourschmatte"
A
