HENRY GRABAR is an acclaimed author who writes about housing, transportation, and the environment. He writes the Metropolis column for Slate, and his work has also been published in Architect, The Atlantic, the Guardian, Harper’s, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and other outlets.

He has also produced podcasts for Decoder Ring, 99 Percent Invisible, What Next, and others. Grabar edited The Future of Transportation anthology (Metropolis Books, 2019) and recently authored Paved Paradise: How Parking Explains the World (Penguin, 2023).
