The Art and Art History Department presents a lecture by artist Jas Knight. Jas Knight is an observation-based painter and draftsman whose work combines the influence of traditional Western painting methods with subject matter taken from the world around him. Through a disciplined studio practice and savvy use of social media, Jas has formed a sustainable painting career that has circumvented traditional routes through contemporary art galleries. As a complement to his studio work Knight has embarked on a pedagogical project of authoring books on the art of copying paintings, color theory and is co-authoring a book on linear perspective. Jas Knight lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. This free, virtual event is open to the Drexel community. REGISTER HERE [Image: Jas Knight, "Elegy for Ethan", 2017]
