Decoding the Music Business: The Future of A&R

The role of an A&R has taken many shapes over the course of the music industry. As the new decade begins, the A&R's role is still ever changing. We're lucky to have three major A&Rs and/or Executives with music industry experience discuss their roles at their perspective companies, the future of A&R and developing an A&R acumen. The panel discussion will last for an hour with an hour of networking beforehand.

Brian Johnston - Senior Director of A&R at Atlantic Records

Brian and Atlantic have a great track record working with some top tier artists, such as A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Kevin Gates, and Cardi B.

Adrian Nunez - Vice President Creative A&R at Sony/ATV

Adrian is responsible for the signing of Wheezy, Zaytoven, Working On Dying, Maaly Raw, Cassius Jay and other hip hop and R&B producers
