Lim Hyueng-Nam and Roh Eun-Joo founded studio GAON in Korea in 1998. They have designed and built numerous projects that attempt to achieve a precise balance of the traditional with the contemporary, the natural and the artificial and only consider their works to be finally completed by the passage of time. They also identify the uniqueness of Korean architecture with movement through space. Selected as 2019 Rankin Scholars in Residence by Drexel’s Westphal College, Lim Hyueng-Nam and Roh Eun-Joo will lead a University-wide student design charrette the weekend following their Arfaa Lecture that will focus on designing dynamic public spaces.
This lecture is part of the Farajollah & Maryam Badie Arfaa Lecture Series presented by Drexel Architecture, Design & Urbanism.
