The featured work for the 15th annual Great Court concert will be the rarely-performed Epithalamion by British composer Ralph Vaughan Williams. This piece, for chorus, strings, piano and harp is a setting of the 16th century poet Edmund Spenser's ode "The Bridal Day," filled with quick changes from beauty to excitement in a series of short movements. Other music will include several a cappella works from the Medieval and Renaissance periods chosen to take advantage of the stunning acoustics of Drexel's Great Court.
