Wolfram Arendt, AIA, LEED AP BD+C is Principal at LAYER Architecture, a Philadelphia-based, full-service design practice. Arendt holds a Master of Architecture and a BS in Architecture from the University of Virginia. With over 25 years of broad experience, including almost two decades at Bohlin Cywinski Jackson as Senior Associate, Wolfram brings deep expertise in commercial, university, higher education, and cultural projects across diverse circumstances. Originally working in the construction sector, he quickly advanced to project leadership roles, where his thorough knowledge of design, technical management, and construction became hallmarks of his work.

Wolfram’s energy and inclusive style infuse the design and construction process with enthusiasm and efficiency, making each project a pleasure for clients and collaborators alike. He is a LEED Accredited Professional with a strong commitment to sustainable design and environmental responsibility. At Drexel, Wolfram has also taught courses on Sustainable Architecture and Contemporary Architecture. Actively engaged in his community, Wolfram has chaired the GreenFaith Committee at his local church, serves on his neighborhood zoning committee, and regularly participates in architecture student design reviews. His leadership and passion for resource-conscious solutions continue to benefit clients, communities, and the environment.
