Westphal College of Media Arts & Design

Mary Winkler is Japanese-American Colorist and spent much of her childhood visiting the southern islands of Japan. Her family is comprised of traditional musicians, dancers, painters and artists. There she found a passion for art and was later inspired to begin a career in film. She was introduced to Color Grading and instantly fell in love with the complexities of painting for moving frames. 
 
Mary  started as a Media Management Specialist at NFL Films. Today, she works in the Color Grading department and freelances at her home grading suite. Her credits include non-scripted films and series, independent features, video podcasts and more. She spends most of her free time learning new grading techniques and technologies as well as attending museums and art shows to inspire her next project.
