As a Senior Architect at Kelly Maiello Architects (KMA) in Philadelphia, Kelly brings deep expertise in repurposing iconic buildings, with a strong focus on sustainability and high-performance design.

Kelly is best known for leading the adaptive reuse of Philadelphia’s 30th Street Post Office for Brandywine Realty Trust—a landmark project certified LEED Gold and one of over 25 LEED-accredited projects to which she has contributed. Her portfolio includes significant work for universities such as the University of Pennsylvania (New College House), Loyola University Maryland, and St. Mary’s College of Maryland, as well as the Kentucky State Capitol and multiple projects at Jefferson and Lincoln Universities. Her current projects include a high-profile interior renovation at the Rachel Carson State Office Building in Harrisburg.

She spent nearly three decades as Senior Associate and Project Manager at Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, followed by leadership roles at Preservation Design Partnership and Cava Architects.

A founding member of the AIA’s National Committee on the Environment, Kelly received the USGBC National Leadership Award in 2009 for her work in sustainable design. She is active in professional and civic organizations, including the Carpenter’s Company of Philadelphia, AIA Philadelphia, and the Community Design Collaborative, and has served on the boards of AIA Philadelphia and the Center for Architecture and Design (now DesignPhiladelphia). Kelly is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Drexel University’s Westphal College, where she shares her expertise in architecture and sustainability with students.
