Rachel Schade, AIA recently left private practice to accept a full time position after being an Adjunct instructor in the Architecture and Architectural Engineering departments since 1986. Teaching part time complemented the management of her Center City firm Schade and Bolender Architects, a woman-owned business with a diverse array of residential, institutional and civic projects. Rachel maintains a small consulting practice and remains active in community affairs.
Rachel is the Coordinator for the Architecture Thesis program while also teaching in the 2 + 4 program. Rachel is the first departmental appointment in Student Placement, and works with the Steinbright Career Development Center to find meaningful internships for our students. Rachel envisions the development of new networks for alumni and regional firms to create and sustain exciting opportunities. Providing our students with the tools they need to excel in the workplace is critical to the Drexel experience.
