Bruce Pollock has exhibited his abstract paintings and drawings throughout the US and most recently at the Museum of the Central Academy of the Fine Arts in Beijing, China. He has had many solo exhibitions in New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Shenzhen, China.and other locations. In the Philadelphia area, his venues include the Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, Institute of Contemporary Art, The James Michener Art Museum and The Delaware Center for Contemporary Art as well as numerous solo and group gallery exhibitions.
Bruce Pollock is the recipient of numerous grants and awards including the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, MacDowell Colony and Ballinglen Arts Foundation.
Pollock’s works are in numerous private, corporate, and public collections including The Philadelphia Museum of Art, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, The Federal Reserve Bank, and the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
Bruce received his MFA in Painting from the Tyler School of Art, where he studied painting in Rome, Italy through Temple University Abroad Program. He has a BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art. He has been teaching at Drexel for 20 years. Currently, he is the Studio Head of Painting a position he has held since 2003.
