Nick is an award-winning filmmaker with over a decade of hands-on experience across multiple industries. He made his directorial debut in 2019 with the short documentary film, The Tides That Bind, which screened at over 25 film festivals worldwide and won numerous awards. His follow-up films, Watching the Wilds and Gardener of the Galaxy, enjoyed equally successful festival runs and also received multiple awards. His latest film, a collaboration with the Academy of Natural Sciences, is set to premiere in 2026.

Nick co-authored the book, Television Show Trends, 2016–2020: Authenticity, Diversity, Sexual Candor, and Retrospection, published by McFarland in 2023. As a media scholar, he frequently presents at both regional and national conferences and has been quoted in publications such as The Atlantic.

At Drexel, Nick teaches film and television studies, manages post-production, and serves as Executive Producer of Dragon Productions, a student-staffed video production organization. He was named Associate Program Director for the Film & Television program in 2024.
