From an early age, Elizabeth was fascinated by personal stories. Often staying late at the dinner table to hear her elders share stories of their youth. The idea that she could be a part of sharing her own stories led her to study film at Drexel University, graduating with distinction in 2006.

Elizabeth Kitchens began her professional career in the production department, acquiring a strong skill set on everything from large studio features, small independents, and commercials. She helped coordinate independent features such as Sophia Coppola’s THE BLING RING and Jason Bateman’s BAD WORDS. She later transitioned to a career shooting Unit Photography on feature films, working with such talented performers as Issa Rae, Simon Pegg, Common, and John Cho.

She prides herself on knowing how to work with and facilitate many moving parts towards a common goal, how to pay attention and anticipate needs, to value collaboration and open communication, how to stay calm under pressure, and above all how to put all of that towards the service of a story. She has been fortunate to be a part of truly powerful stories throughout her more than 15 year career.

In the role of Program Administrator for Drexel in LA, Elizabeth has found fulfillment working with our students to discover their passions, launch their career path, and help them share their own stories.
