Since October 2016 Ivan Henderson has served as Vice President of Programming at the African American Museum in Philadelphia (AAMP), where he leads the work of the Museum’s programming, exhibitions and collections teams. Ivan held the position of Curator of Education and Outreach at University of Delaware's (UD) University Museums between 2012 and 2016, where he helped establish a student docent program, managed public and educational programming for 3 campus galleries, coordinated marketing and PR efforts for the Museums, and taught undergraduate courses in the Museum Studies Program. He holds a bachelor's degree in English from Harvard College and a master's degree in Leadership in Museum Education from Bank Street College of Education. Ivan began his career in museums in 2005 as a museum educator at the African American Museum in Philadelphia.
