Cynthia A. Golembuski has spent 15 years in the Fashion Industry designing & illustrating fashion. She holds a bachelors degree in Apparel Textiles with a minor in Art from North Dakota State University and a Masters degree in Fashion Design from Drexel University. She currently does freelance CAD work illustrating garments, creating catalog layouts and preparing presentation boards for various fashion companies. Before teaching at Drexel, Cynthia spent 10 years designing & merchandising outerwear at one of the largest outerwear manufacturers in the United States and eventually became involved with technical design. She has also created evening & bridal gowns for private clientèle.
Cynthia teaches various courses relating to portfolio development and fashion illustrating by hand and computer. She feels that technical design has quickly become an integral part of the design process with the globalization of the industry and helped developed a course on this focus. It is important to foster an environment where the students can develop their creative concepts, collaborate and then present themselves with confidence professionally.
