Milady Bridges brings to the classroom a decade of professional work experience as an animation and visual effects artist for feature film, games, and nationally distributed advertising campaigns.
Milady started her career in 2008 when she joined a group of artists on the Warner Brothers lot to create a series of animated shorts for the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. Following Warner Brothers, she freelanced for Technicolor and Pixel Liberation Front where she worked as a Technical Director on promotional videos for games like Forza III and as a previsualization artist for films such as Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and The Green Lantern. Milady would continue to work as a freelancer for a variety of studios until settling down as a VFX artist for several years at Stereo D where she created visual effects for stereoscopic films that include The Avengers, Thor, Captain America, 3D Jurassic Park, and 3D Titanic. Following her feature film work, Milady transitioned into advertising where she worked on national advertising campaigns for Lexus, Mazda, Dollar Shave Club, and Epson.
Milady’s interest in computer graphics covers a wide range of disciplines including modeling, surfacing, lighting, rendering, matchmoving, and compositing. She specializes in the creation of photorealistic imagery for integration into live-action footage. In addition to serving as program director, she also provides faculty supervision to the Drexel Animate student club and Digital Media work-study students.
