In 2015, Amelia Drummond graduated from Drexel University’s Westphal College of Media Arts & Design with a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design and a minor in Art History. Following graduation, she worked in Product Development, designing private label evening bags for national retailers ranging from Payless and Icing, to Dillard’s and Nordstrom. In an effort to move from Product Development into Buying, Amelia returned to Drexel in 2018 to pursue a Master’s Degree in Retail & Merchandising, complimented by a Marketing Minor. Over the course of the program, Amelia further cultivated the skills required to succeed in the retail industry and was able to apply those skills to her new career in Buying. The flexibility of the program and ability to personalize the content ensured that the courses were relevant and immediately applicable towards career development. Amelia now leads the Color category for a national beauty retailer and attributes much of her success to Drexel’s ability to prepare students for the workplace.
