Forbes 30 Under 30 for 2023
Victoria, 2019 EAM Alumni, is an entrepreneur and the co-founder of Sharing Excess, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit that has rescued and redistributed more than 15 million pounds of food to communities experiencing food insecurity. The organization is addressing the fact that more than 40% of the food supply in our nation goes to waste annually, while nearly 40% of Americans face food insecurity. Inspired by Drexel Alumni Evan Ehlers, Victoria joined Sharing Excess in 2020 at the height of the pandemic. The pair joined forces to bring the vision of Sharing Excess to new heights. Three years later, she is responsible for managing 30+ employees, raising $1M+ in donations, scoring partnerships with Grammy award-winning artists, and helping rescue and distribute millions of meals to communities facing food insecurity. The organization is recognized by @mrbeast Philanthropy as a Diamond partner who lets them “share kindness and provide relief and encouragement to our marginalized and vulnerable friends around the world.” Sharing Excess is the proud recipient of a 2023 Pew Charitable Trust Venture Grant that will allow it to grow from rescuing 13 million pounds of food annually to 20 million pounds.
