STRATEGIC FINANCIAL PLANNING FOR THE ARTS

Thomas Scurto-Davis

MS arts administration ‘09

Since 2010 Thomas has been the director of finance and operations for the Main Line Art Center in Haverford, PA.  His entire career has been devoted to the arts, first as an opera singer for some of the countrys most renown companies, and now as a recognized leader and educator in the fields of nonprofit finance, business planning, risk management, and leadership.  In addition to his position at Main Line Art Center, he is an adjunct faculty member in La Salle Universitys Masters in Nonprofit Leadership program and a consultant/instructor for The Nonprofit Center.  He is active member of the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts CAELI alumni network, having been a part of the second cohort of leaders to emerge from that program. He also participates as a member of the nascent “White Co-conspirators group” to the Guild’s ALANNA Network. In his most recent artistic endeavor, he has rebranded himself as an accomplished wood-turner.
