Kelsey Fain moved to New York City in 2008 upon receiving her BS. in Photography from Drexel University.
She took a job as a part-time studio manager for an Isreali Fine-Art photographer, Isack Kousnsky, where she spent a good amount of time searching for things that he lost and walking his unruly dog Flash. During this time she also assisted fashion, event and commercial photographers as well as worked at a tutoring center to make ends meet.
In 2010, at the recommendation of one of the photographers she was assisting, Kelsey applied and was hired for a coveted position as a Product Specialist with Leica Camera. During this time Kelsey worked with the worlds top photographers, many of whom she idealized during her time at Drexel. During her 5 years with Leica Camera, Kelsey worked her way up to the title of Product Manager for Leica's medium format line- the S System.
In 2015, after much deliberation, Kelsey decided to thoughtfully end her time with Leica and pushed herself into self employment to build her career as a freelance photographer. Specializing in both fashion and food photography, she has continued to grow with clients such as Target, Century 21 Department Stores, Danskin, Campari Liquer and many others. She is always pushing herself to strive harder for the next big project and only occasionally hides under the covers.
