After graduation, Findlay moved to New York City and immediately began Assistant Directing for short films and independent features. In 2014 she was accepted into the Director's Guild of America Assistant Director Training program. She has since worked on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, the unaired HBO series Crime and Vinyl. She is currently working on her first major feature film, The Girl on the Train.
