Dongchen works for Hubei Satellite TV Channel where she is one of the directors/editors for a new program titled, Mediation: Face-to-Face. The orientation of the program: Harmony around the world.
This program launched in January 3rd, 2012 on Hubei Satellite TV Channel. Its former program was named as Mediation Scene, which had been broadcast on Hubei Local TV Channel for almost one and half year since it launched on October 2010. The program is aired at 10:00pm, Tuesday/Wednesday each week.

It’s more like a talk show program. Most of the content of this program is to resolve family conflicts among modern marriage in China, such as divorce dispute, contradictory feelings among siblings, problems between mother and daughter-in-law, etc. The program helps our audience to learn how to have a happier and healthier marriage and live. The audience rating of the program was high when it launched on Hubei local TV Channel and it also has a good rating on Satellite TV Channel. The similar programs are “Jeremy Kyle Show”, “Maury Show”, and “Divorce court”. 

I’m one of the directors and editors in this program group. We call it the “Director Responsible System”. Every single director is responsible to the whole process of the production of each episode, which includes preliminary topic choices and contacts, recording, script writing, site direction of the recording of the episode, and the editing of the episode. Therefore, I’m the person in charge for my own episode mostly.

Hubei Satellite TV Channel covers 98% cities in China; the newest orientation of the channel is rooted in Hubei, developed in the central plains of China, and its purpose is to show China’s face to the world.
