Dan Lajoie

MS television management

Dan Lajoie

A native of Spencer, MA, Dan attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst as an undergraduate, double majoring in sport management and journalism. He graduated cum laude with a 3.69 GPA and a major GPA of 3.77 in sport management and 3.85 in journalism.

From a very young age, he knew his two passions in life: sports and television. As a sophomore at UMass Amherst, Dan obtained an internship at WCVB Channel 5 Boston, an award-winning newscast. He worked in the sports department and assisted in producing, editing, and writing for the 6pm and 11pm sports segment on the news. He also gained valuable experience by going out on assignment with the anchors and producers.

As a junior, Dan obtained an internship at the New England Sports Network (NESN), the home of the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins. As a Program Development and Acquisitions Intern, he received valuable experience in several aspects of the television industry. His internship experiences solidified his passion in television and he ultimately wants to enter the sports television field in original programming and development.
