The Center for the Advancement of STEM Teaching and Learning Excellence (CASTLE) has a mission of affecting large-scale change in STEM teaching and learning across the educational spectrum by conducting, catalyzing, and supporting fundamental research and practice. CASTLE engages in research and development at the frontiers of STEM teaching and learning and uses the outcomes of this research to inform strategies to promote both inclusivity and effectiveness of STEM learning. CASTLE offers events to Drexel faculty such as Pedagogical Happy Hours, seminars, and learning communities, and engages in interdisciplinary collaborations towards improving STEM teaching and learning. The Teaching and Learning Center and CASTLE collaborate on initiatives to disseminate and implement evidence-based teaching practices at Drexel University.
