Steinbright Partners Program
Funds are available to students with an interest in working in an unpaid, domestic co-op position. The program is open to students of all majors. If awarded funding, recipients will be notified prior to the deadline for ranking A-Round job offers (if applicable). The goal of this Program is to encourage students to pursue an exceptional co-op experience which would otherwise be financially challenging.
Questions about the program and the application process should be submitted to SCPFund@drexel.edu.
In addition to general funding for any unpaid co-op, there are specific funds for students that register for an unpaid position with:
- The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University
- The Philadelphia Zoo
- Bartram's Garden

Frequently Asked Questions
When will I find out if I am awarded the funding?
If awarded funding, recipients will be notified prior to A-Round rankings.
Can I receive the funding for a position I find through an independent job search?
Yes, as long as it meets the other requirements outlined above.
What if I am selected for funding but decide to accept a paid position?
Your funding will be reallocated to a student on the waitlist.
How many students are selected for funding?
The exact number of recipients varies each cycle. The program is very competitive, as we have limited funding and receive many great applications, so we recommend applying as soon as possible.
How much money do students receive?
Students can receive up to $6,000 for a six-month co-op and up to $3,000 for a three-month co-op. The actual award amounts may vary, and you will be notified of the exact amount if you are awarded the funding.
