Group Swim Lesson Levels

Beginner I

This class is designed to help individuals master basic water safety including getting comfortable in the water, floating, breathing, treading water, body positioning, and very basic freestyle skills. This level is for individuals who are not comfortable in the water or cannot safely make it one lap, unassisted, across the pool without stopping.

Beginner II

The focus of these lessons is freestyle technique and endurance. Participants must be comfortable in deep water and able to get across the pool safely without assistance. Skills taught will include the freestyle kick, side breathing, body positioning, and arm motion.

This class is for those who can make it across the pool with freestyle but may need some technique assistance to improve efficiency. Additional strokes and skills can be taught at this level as well as upon request.
