Dear Colleagues,

Thank you to all who have shared questions and feedback on the report from the University Advisory Committee on Academic Structure. As part of this crucial review period, submitted questions and feedback will be discussed at the next joint University Town Hall and Faculty Senate meeting on July 18 at 2:30 p.m.

Following the UAC’s presentation of recommendations on June 20, the UAC’s Executive Summary and full report of recommendations were posted on the Faculty Senate SharePoint, along with the slide deck and recording of the presentation. Faculty and professional staff are invited to share their thoughts, including considerations for potential implementation, either by responding via an anonymous survey shared via email, which will remain open until July 12 at noon, or emailing Faculty Senate Chair Kevin Owens (owensk@drexel.edu) and/or Provost Paul Jensen (provost@drexel.edu) directly.

Key points from the feedback received by July 12 will be shared in advance of the July 18 meeting, along with a detailed appendix of submitted questions and comments. Additional feedback will continue to be considered as discussions around potential implementation continue, in anticipation of conducting feasibility studies for specific recommendations in the fall.

We thank you in advance for your careful consideration of the UAC’s recommendations and look forward to further discussion of the report.

Sincerely,

Paul E. Jensen
