Optional Pass / No Pass Grading for Fall and Winter Quarter
Dear Drexel Students, Faculty and Professional Staff,
As we continue to live through unprecedented times, the Provost's Office, Deans and Faculty Senate have agreed to continue offering the Pass / No Pass grading option for quarter-based programs in the Winter Quarter.
As a reminder, the deadline for selecting Pass/No Pass for Fall Quarter courses is 11:59pm on December 12th, the last day of finals.
It is important to note that the Pass/No Pass option does not apply to students in the College of Medicine and Kline School of Law, to students in the School of Education (SoE) who are pursuing PA certification and to select programs in the College of Nursing and Health Professions (CNHP) due to accreditation and/or professional requirements. The program directors of CNHP and SoE will follow up directly with their students. The Pass/No Pass option may not apply to Executive and Professional Education Programs due to agreements with external organizations.
There are many factors to consider before choosing the Pass / No Pass grading option. Students should review the Pass / No Pass FAQ and talk with their academic advisors before making a decision. Faculty should review the Faculty FAQ.
I remind everyone to be empathetic, flexible and understanding during this time. Students needing accommodations should feel comfortable reaching out to their faculty and advisors for support.
Be well,
Paul E. Jensen
