Sarah Gleeson is a PhD student in Materials Science and Engineering. Sarah received an undergraduate degree from Case Western Reserve University in Biomedical Engineering, and served as an AmeriCorps volunteer for a year before coming to Drexel for graduate school. Under the guidance of Dr. Christopher Li in the Soft Materials Group, she is working on a project designing biomimetic synthetic bone materials. She hopes her work will be used to create more effective tissue substitutes for patients with bone disease or damage.
