About Me
Laiba Khan is a third-year student at Drexel University pursuing a degree in Biological Sciences with a double minor in Medical Sociology and Food Science. She is on a pre-dental track and hopes to attend dental school after obtaining her bachelor's degree. Laiba hopes to expand her horizons regarding healthcare within various cultural contexts outside her own. With the generous help of the Gilman International Scholarship, Laiba will be taking part in the Healthcare in Latin America: Costa Rica Program for the Winter Term of 2023-2024. She hopes to learn about medicinal practices in areas outside the United States and strives to be a more inclusive and culturally sensitive healthcare worker.
