About Me
Afrah is a public health student with minors in global studies and sociology. After graduation, Afrah will undertake a two-year Urban Health Policy Fellowship with the Philadelphia Department of Public Health. Ultimately, she would like to work in a governmental capacity and use evidence-based research to improve disparate health outcomes and empower marginalized communities. She is currently a Drexel Community Scholar serving at HIAS Pennsylvania, a Senior Class Representative in the Undergraduate Student Government Association, and a member of Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity. In 2018, she was a Dornsife Global Development Scholar and worked in Eswatini.
