Oren Leaffer

About Me

Since 2006 I have been with the Materials Science and Engineering Department working under the direction of Dr. Jonathan Spanier in the MesoMaterials Laboratory. I have worked on a number of different projects relating to a variety of materials, but the focus of my research has been on characterizing nanocale semiconductor heterostructures using resonance spectroscopy. In support of this research, I built a custom laser spectroscopy system.

Oren was selected for the NSF East Asia and Pacific Summer Institutes (EAPSI) in 2011.
