Matthew Soesanto

About Me

Matthew has always been interested in biological research, and his experience in STAR has only enhanced that devotion. He is currently doing his first co-op at the Ornithology Department of the Academy of Natural Sciences where he researches host-parasite relationships of birds and parasites. He enjoys the mix of lab and field work in his co-op. Having particular interests in ecology and evolution, Matthew aims to explore the opportunities in this field of research.

Matthew's main drive is to simply ask the greater questions and make use of the opportunities that come by him. On the side, he also loves watching films and playing futsal with his Indonesian community.

Matthew has been involved in the Pennoni Honors College as a 2022 STAR Scholar and a 2022-23 Aspire Scholar.
