About Me

Faris Dababneh is an electrical & computer engineering dual major with a strong interest in entrepreneurship. He began building his first publicly accessible applications in high school and transitioned into hardware after completing an engineering internship at Air Liquide. Faris engaged in neuromorphic computing research under the STAR Scholars program with Dr. Anup Das, developing a scalable, parameterized Izhikevich neuron network on an FPGA. Since then, he has joined Cornelis Networks as an Electrical Engineering co-op, where he has been responsible for next-generation PCB designs, critical signal integrity validation, hardware testing, and much more.

In tandem, Faris is a part of the Impact Innovation Hub, working on a product that helps individuals with social anxiety gain confidence through personalized exposure therapy challenges.

With support from the Gilman Scholarship, Faris will be studying abroad at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (UAS7) for a semester in Information Engineering, corresponding to several courses from Drexel's Electrical & Computer Engineering Curriculum.
