About Me

I found out about DAAD RISE program from the study abroad/fellowship office. I thought I would give it a shot and apply. Since I couldn't fit a semester to study abroad, I thought that this would be a great opportunity to go abroad. The application wasn't bad; everything was online so it was convenient, and there weren't a lot of requirements: one letter of recommendation, a general essay, a resume and transcript. I will be working in the University of Rostock in the Department of Vectorology and Experimental Gene Therapy to establish a syngene tumor stem cell mouse model by in vivo targeting of adult neural stem cell. I am very excited the project as well as living and working abroad, and cannot wait to experience the German culture.
