About Me
I am a junior at Drexel studying environmental science. I was awarded the Gilman Scholarship for my plans to participate in the Drexel in Equatorial Guinea: Biodiversity on Bioko Island study abroad program in the Winter of 2012. I am an honors student and I participated in the STAR research program with Dr. Avery’s biology lab in my freshman year, where I continue to work studying freshwater turtles in Pennsylvania.
In my leisure time I enjoy serving as captain of Drexel Women’s Rugby club team. After I graduate, I plan on going to graduate school to continue my education and research in ecology and natural systems.
2015 Update: Allison Byrne, who received the GRFP Honorable Mention in 2014, is now a graduate student at UCBerkeley.
