AAMFT Minority Fellowship Program

The AAMFT Research & Education Foundation is dedicated to increasing the pool of culturally competent marriage and family therapist researchers, teachers, and practitioners, who will increase mental health and substance abuse services to racial and ethnic minority populations and underrepresented populations.

The AAMFT Minority Fellowship Program (MFP) offers financial support and professional guidance to graduate students pursuing degrees in Marriage and Family therapy.

The AAMFT MFP offers three fellowships:

  • Minority Fellowship Program (MFP-Youth Fellowship): For masters students interested in service provision to the nation’s youth as they transition into adulthood (ages 16-25).

Program details, applications, and eligibility criteria vary.
