AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellowships (STPF) provide opportunities to outstanding scientists and engineers to learn first-hand about policymaking and contribute their knowledge and analytical skills in the policy realm. Fellows serve yearlong assignments in the federal government and represent a broad range of backgrounds, disciplines, and career stages.
The Fellowship aims to connect science with policy and foster a network of science and engineering leaders who understand government and policymaking, and are prepared to develop and execute solutions to address societal challenges.
Applicants must hold a doctoral level degree (PhD, ScD, MD, DVM, EdD, PharmD, etc.), in social or behavioral sciences; medical or health sciences; biological, physical or earth sciences; or computational sciences or mathematics; or a MS in engineering plus three years of professional engineering experience.
