Meet Our Spring/Summer 2026 UREP Ambassadors!

Get to know the five students serving as UREP Ambassadors for spring and summer 2026! They'll share their knowledge and experience of UREP programs at events and drop-in hours. Over the summer, they'll serve as peer mentors for STAR Scholars. We're so pleased to have them on our team!

Blaze Fogle, philosophy, politics & economics '28, Honors

Blaze Fogle is a second-year philosophy, politics, and economics (PPE) major whose research interests include political philosophy, philosophy of economics, and ancient philosophy. Blaze is an avid musician and plays piano for the Drexel University Jazz Band and is the former pianist for the Drexel University Symphony Orchestra. In addition to playing for Drexel ensembles, you can find Blaze playing jazz piano in bars and restaurants across South Central Pennsylvania and in live folk sets in apartment shows across Philadelphia. Blaze plans to attend law school after undergrad and is interested in pursuing civil rights law and human rights law.

Leah Keen, biomedical engineering '29, Honors

Hi everyone! My name is Leah and I'm a sophomore studying Biomedical Engineering (BS/MS) with concentrations in Neuroengineering and Tissue Engineering. I was a part of the STAR Scholars 2025 cohort where I conducted research on stem cell-based organoid technologies to study Alzheimer's Disease in the Qiang Lab. I loved my STAR experience so much that I still do research in this lab today! I'm passionate about neuroscience, cell/gene therapy, and making research accessible!

Outside of classes you can find me looking for the best coffee shop in the city, reading on Lancaster Walk, or hanging out with my cat, Dexter. I'm so excited to be a UREP Ambassador and I can't wait to see you all soon!

Sophia Medori, biological sciences '28, Honors

I'm Sophia Medori. I'm a third year biological sciences major concentrating in cell and gene therapy. My academic and professional interests involve cancer biology and the use of immunological techniques to treat cancer. I've done some work with stem cells at my co-op at Century Therapeutics, and I currently work at the Reginato lab doing research on Breast Cancer Brain Metastasis (BCBM). When I'm not at lab or in class I love to read, paint, practice piano, and watch movies! I'm super excited to be a UREP Ambassador!

Jemima Oduwole, political science '28

Jemima is a third-year political science major and sociology minor on the pre-law track through Drexel’s accelerated BA/BS + JD program. She was involved with UREP through the STAR Scholars Program in the summer of 2025. During her time in the program, she studied the political conditions that precede genocide and how such conditions vary from other armed conflicts, which led her to find her passion in comparative politics.

As a UREP Ambassador, she aims to provide not only support and guidance but also the encouragement researchers need to take the initiative, get involved, and be confident about their research passions.

In her spare time, Jemima likes to create content for her YouTube channel, get involved at her church, and watch movies with her siblings.

Minh Trinh, economics & mathematics '27, Honors

Hi everyone! My name is Minh Trinh. I was born and raised in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and moved to Philadelphia for college, where I should be a senior by credit from Spring 2026, still pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Mathematics, with minors in Actuarial and Data Sciences. I was a STAR Scholar in Summer 2023 and became a SuperNova Research Fellow in the fall the year after. The STAR Scholars program was my first stepping stone into academic research, and I’m incredibly grateful for the Undergraduate Research and Enrichment Programs staff for their support throughout. As a matter of fact, I was a UREP Ambassador last Fall-Winter cycle, and I wanted to continue paying it forward, supporting Drexel students with research-oriented resources and opportunities. Whether the research is personal or part of a class, especially anything academia-related, I hope to inspire you all the way I was inspired.
