Brian Lee, PhD, a professor in the Dornsife School of Public Health, was quoted in a Sept. 29 JAMA Q&A article and Sept. 30 in Scientific American, about Lee’s role as senior author on a study that found no increased risk in autism, ADHD, or intellectual disabilities in the children of women who used acetaminophen during pregnancy. Lee was also a guest on the Sept. 29 Public Health On Call podcast to talk about the study. The research was also mentioned in a Sept. 26 Valigia Blu (Italy) story.

Rachel Sherman, associate director of the Drexel Food Lab; DeAndra Forde, a doctoral student; Alessandra Mora, a project manager; Faustina Boakye, a doctoral student; and Jonathan Deutsch, PhD, a professor, all in the College of Nursing and Health Professions, coauthored a Sept. 30 column for The Guardian (UK) analyzing types of commercially available instant coffees.

Matthew D. Lerner, PhD, an associate professor at the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute, was quoted in a Sept. 26 article in The Guardian about the recently FDA-approved generic drug leucovorin and quoted in a Sept. 28 NewsNation segment about ways to empower children with autism.

Diana Robins, PhD, director of the AJ Drexel Autism Institute, was quoted in a Sept. 26 WFMZ-TV (Allentown, Pennsylvania) segment about how difficulty accessing federal assistance can make it difficult to afford autism care.

Murugan Anandarajan, PhD, a professor in the LeBow College of Business, authored a Sept. 25 column for The Conversation about the depiction of human-AI relationships in cinema. The piece was republished by the San Francisco Chronicle.

Joel Maxcy, PhD, a professor in the LeBow College of Business, was quoted in a Sept. 24 Indianapolis Star story about a court case in which a Div. I football student-athlete is challenging his eligibility with the NCAA after transferring from a junior college. Maxcy testified as a subject-matter expert in the case.

Drexel was mentioned in Sept. 22 stories in Axios Philadelphia, Philadelphia Business Journal, WTXF-TV (FOX-29) and the Daily Voice (New York/New Jersey) news service about the latest U.S. News & World Report “Best Colleges” list, on which Drexel moved up six places to No. 80 this year.

Richardson Dilworth, PhD, a professor in the College of Arts and Science, was quoted in a Sept. 23 Philadelphia Inquirer story about Philadelphia’s office buildings plummeting in value and costing the city millions in tax revenue. The story was republished from Sept. 25 through Sept. 28 in a number of publications including, PennLive, the Herald Online (Rock Hill, South Carolina), the Idaho Statesman and the News Tribune Online (Tacoma, Washington).

Kristen Lyall, ScD, an associate professor in the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute and Dornsife School of Public Health was quoted in a Sept. 23 Science article about FDA approval of leucovorin, a form of folate (vitamin B9), as a possible treatment for autism. Lyall was also quoted in a Sept. 23 KYW Newsradio segment about the ongoing debate about causes of autism.

A Sept. 22 Hearst news segment featuring Lee ran on WVTM 13 (NBCBirmingham, AL), among other stations. Lee co-authored a Sept. 24 article in The Conversation about co-authoring a study finding that acetaminophen is not linked to autism. Lee was also quoted in articles on Sept. 25 in SF Gate and Very Well Health about recent Tylenol and autism claims and CBC (Canada) about whether leucovorin is a possible autism treatment.

Kevin Gillen, PhD, an adjunct professor in LeBow College of Business, was quoted in a Sept. 18 WHYY-Radio story about new research indicating that luxury home sales in the Philadelphia area have increased over the last six years.
