A March 2025 episode of the KERA-Radio (NPR-Dallas, Texas) “Think” podcast featuring John Kounios, PhD, a professor in the College of Arts and Sciences, was named as one of the "Best of Think ’25" by Player FM. The interview was replayed on Dec. 31 on a number of stations including WMFG-Radio (NPR-Orlando, Florida), WABE-Radio (NPR-Atlanta, Georgia) and KERA-Radio.

Research on user experience of AI chatbot companions led by Afsaneh Razi, PhD, an assistant professor in the College of Computing & Informatics, was featured in a Dec. 31 Financial Times article about how artificial intelligence and AI companions are changing the wider landscape of relationships and virtual matchmaking.

Megan Creighton, PhD, an assistant professor in the College of Engineering, was quoted in a Dec. 17 New Atlas story and a Jan. 5 Engineering.com story about her research with Ali Afify, PhD, an assistant professor in the College of Arts and Sciences, and researchers at McGill University in Canada to explore using mosquito proboscis tubes as tips for 3D printing.

Valerie Ifill, an assistant professor in the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts and Design, was quoted in a Dec. 22 PHILADELPHIA.Today article that excerpted a Dec. 12 WHYY story about Black Girls STEAMing Through Dance, an after-school program at Drexel.

Hannah Nekritz and Sarah Peterson, residents in the Orthotics and Prosthetics program College of Nursing and Health Professions, were mentioned in a Dec. 19 WHYY story about a collaboration between orthotic and prosthesis company MedEast, Drexel and Global Medical Relief Fund to provide prostheses to victims of violence from Tanzania.
