Drexel Anniversary Public Lectures Announced for Spring
These lectures are free and open to the public. They will be held from 12–12:50 p.m. in room 140 of the Kline School of Law at 3320 Market St (unless otherwise noted). Lectures will be live-streamed and archived on Drexel’s 125th website.
Here are the events:
April 13: “Business Education at Drexel” by Frank Linnehan, PhD, R. John Chapel Jr. Dean of the LeBow College of Business.
April 20: “From Home Economics to Design: Fashion, Interiors, Gender, & Art at Drexel” by David Raizman, PhD, a professor in the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design.
*May 4: “Drexel Research Innovation: A 125-Year Retrospective” by M. Brian Blake, PhD, provost and executive vice president for Academic Affairs, and Nina Henderson '72, a member of Drexel’s board of trustees.
May 11: “Global Drexel” by Julie Mostov, PhD, senior vice provost for Global Initiatives and a professor in the College of Arts and Sciences.
May 18: “History Surrounds Us: Walking Tour of Drexel Campus” by Scott Gabriel Knowles, PhD, interim department head and associate professor in the College of Arts and Sciences and co-editor of "Building Drexel.”
May 25: “The Drexel Libraries” by Danuta Nitecki, PhD, dean of libraries and a professor in the College of Computing & Informatics.
June 1: “Drexel, Mantua, & Powelton Village: A Discussion at the Dornsife Center for Neighborhood Partnerships,” which will be a community discussion held at the Dornsife Center at 3509 Spring Garden Street.
*June 8: “Past and Future” by President John A. Fry.
