After a 12-3-1 regular season that earned them a No. 22 national ranking, Drexel Men's soccer hosts Hofstra in the semifinals of the CAA Tournament.

Drexel’s men's soccer team will play host to the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament this weekend, with semifinal games set for Friday evening and the championship game on Sunday afternoon. Drexel, the league's regular-season champion, will play Hofstra at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, All tournament games will be played at the Vidas Athletic Complex on 43^rd and Powelton Ave.

Drexel is coming off its first ever outright CAA regular-season championship, going 8-1-1 in league play and 12-3-1 overall, to clinch the title and earn a No. 22 national ranking by Soccer America by season’s end. The Dragons, backed by a staunch defense, outpaced their closest competition by four points in the standings. Drexel was unbeaten in its final seven games of the regular season, going 6-0-1 over that span.

The Dragons have relied heavily on their defense all season long. Drexel, which has not let up more than two goals in a match since August 31, has eight shutouts on the year and allowed just one total goal in five conference road games, going 5-0-0 in those matches. All-CAA goalkeeper Tim Washam currently ranks 16th in the nation with a 0.717 goals against average and he posted eight shutouts on the season.

On the offensive side, Drexel is led by Nathan Page, a First Team All-CAA midfielder, whose nine goals and one assist give him 19 total points. He scored six-consecutive goals for the Dragons in a six-game span from Oct. 6 to October 24. During that time, the Dragons went 5-0-1, winning three times by a 1-0 count.

Drexel won its only regular-season meeting with Hofstra this year, 2-1, on Oct. 24. Robert Liberatore scored the game-winner on a 40-yard free kick to give the Dragons an important victory on the road.

Tickets for the tournament are $5 per day for adults. Children under 12 and students with a valid ID will be admitted free. The Dragons' semifinal game will be preceded by the first game, featuring No. 2 seed Northeastern and No. 3 seed James Madison at 5 p.m. The championship game will take place at Vidas Field at 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
