‘The Sing Sing Files’ Book Talk

Thursday, February 27, 2025

3:30 PM-4:30 PM

The Drexel Justice Collaborative is hosting a book talk and moderated discussion (co-sponsored by the Center for Public Policy) featuring Dan Slepian, an award-winning journalist at NBC News and author of The Sing Sing Files: One Journalist, Six Innocent Men, and a Twenty-Year Fight for Justice (2024). Both a personal memoir and a call for accountability, The Sing Sing Files chronicles Slepian’s journey investigating wrongful convictions and sheds light on systemic failures of the justice system.

Dan will be joined by Jermaine Archer, a formerly incarcerated advocate and paralegal who uses his personal experience with wrongful conviction to bring awareness and inspire systemic change.

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend. A copy of The Sing Sing Files will be provided at no charge to the first students who register. Light refreshments will be provided.
